Hey everyone, it's Hilary here today to showcase one of the sweetest thinlits die sets you'll just absolutely love. For my project today, I'm using the Fox Label, Fold-a-Long Card Thinlits Die Set by Jen Long and oh - doesn't it create the most adorable card?
I'm so in love with little foxes, I've made little pillows, and stuffed animals, but haven't made a fox into a card - until now. I just adore how this project came out. The Fold-a-Long Thinlits Die Set make creating a card like this as simple as pie and I'll show you just how I created it below.
- Sizzix Big Shot Machine
- Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - Card, Fox Label Fold-a-Long by Jen long (#661137)
- Sizzix Accessory - Cutting Pads, Standard (#655093)
- Sizzix Accessory - Standard Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies (#656499)
- Cardstock (orange, black, white)
- Bone Folder
- Ric Rac
And when the ribbon is untied and the card unfolded, it reveals a sweet center panel in which to decorate or add your sentiment.
So to make this card, you will first want to fold your cardstock in half and place it down onto a Cutting Pad, which is on top of a Magnetic Platform. Then lay the thinlit at the edge of where your cardstock has been folded. You can see in my photo above. Next, lay another Cutting Pad on top and run this sandwich through your Big Shot, (or Big Shot Plus as I have).
Lay out your die cut in front of you. You'll notice my bond folder at the bottom is pointed to a little notch (bottom right), a little indentation in the cardstock. This is where you will fold in half and press using the bone folder. Do the same with the other side.
Next, after die cutting the remaining embellishing pieces, adhere the pieces together with glue.
Adhere the pieces onto the Fox front and adhere the tail as well. The white panel in the back slips in between the two notches at the top and bottom, so you don't need to adhere that one, unless you want to. Stamp or add your sentiment and add it to the back of the card.
Finally, embellish as you wish. I added some coordinating black ric rac at the bottom, and tied the card closed using vintage black ribbon and a walnut stained mini tag, along with a rusty bell.
This is one of the most adorable cards ever and I hope I've inspired you to create one for yourself or to give away to a lucky recipient.
Have an awesome day!
