It's the most wonderful time of the year! We have Christmas crafting, holiday card making, home decorating and best of all- Paper Leather! We've done a few crafts here and there with this awesome crafting paper, but we feel like we really need to show off just how awesome and versatile it truly is. But you don't need to just take our word for it.
We love love LOVE Stacey Park (from Scrapbooking Made Simple) and her amazing energy. But seriously, how cool are those techniques that she just used on the Paper Leather? From embossing, to debossing, to using Inksheets, to water color techniques... there's so much you can do with Paper Leather!
Home decor for the holidays is a must. This beautiful Holiday Wishes framed piece adds the perfect gold accents to your home, while showcasing the awesomeness of Paper Leather. Using the Feathered Wings die and gold embossing powder, Tara gorgeously crafted a set of layered wings using Paper Leather- resulting in a lovely holiday decoration- one that we absolutely love!
This Joy Card Tag shows the color fun you can have with Paper Leather. Jeanne used the Paper Leather as her card and tag base and added Ken Oliver Craft's Color Burst to give it a fun pop of color. We love the look and feel of this craft- joy is an understatement for our feelings to say the least.
How can you not want to recreate this Cheerful Snowman Tag? Anna-Karin took mixed media to a whole new level with this tag, adding in an adorable snowman made out of Paper Leather. The texture and colors of this tag certainly get our creative juices going- and how real does the snow look? Too awesome!
Fancy some adorable hair accessories? Tara quickly rose to that challenge with these sweet Snowflake Paper Leather Barrettes. Combining embossing with some gold embossing powder, Tara created a foiled look to one of her barrettes. For her other barrette, she crumpled the white snowflake to give it a leathery texture and added a smaller gold snowflake as a finishing touch. Absolutely fantastic!
We can't even begin to summarize the awesome of this Birch Tree Card by Anna-Karin. Using Paper Leather for her trees, Anna-Karin went to work with numerous techniques to give her birch trees a real life texture and look. The result is unbelievable. We are in awe every time we see this beautiful card.
Back in October, we did an Inksheets Week with our Creative Director of New Markets and Sizzix Designer Jen Long. The cool part about this adventure was that it also involved use of Paper Leather. Inksheets and Paper Leather are truly the peanut butter and jelly to Sizzix. The awesomeness of combining the two of these is huge- and we have so much more to show you on this in the future!
We love the versatility and fun that Paper Leather brings to crafting- and we hope that we've inspired you to give it a try in your next crafting project. What would you use Paper Leather for in your crafts?
