Good Morning!! Tami Mayberry here with you today to share a tutorial for of my favorite new products from Sizzix.
Don't you just love the look of intricate dies like this Sizzix Thinlits Globe die? I do! The only thing I don't love is removing all of those little pieces! Fortunately, Sizzix now has the perfect solution---the Sizzix Die Brush & Foam Pad for Wafer-Thin Dies.
Begin with your Sizzix Big Shot machine and sandwich of the Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, cardstock, the Sizzix Thinlits Globe Die (cutting side down), and, finally, the second Cutting Pad (not shown).
This is the back of the die once cut...look at all of those pieces! Now, for the fun part.
Place the die onto the foam pad from the Sizzix Die Brush & Foam Pad for Wafer-Thin Dies set and gently roll the brush across the die.
A few seconds later and THIS is what you have!! So easy!
Now, to finish up that card! Adhere the die-cut shape to a piece for blue cardstock. Once again, place this in your Sizzix Big Shot machine with sandwich of the Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, cardstock, a Sizzix Framelits Circles die (cutting side down) just larger than the previous die cut, and, finally, the second Cutting Pad (not shown). Set this aside for just a moment.
For the embossed card front I used the Sizzix Texture Fades Distressed Frame Embossing folder with my sandwich: Extended Multipurpose Platform at tab 1, Cutting Pad, the folder with my card front in between, and another Cutting Pad (not shown).
Then I simply adhered the die-cut globe to the front of my card and added the sentiment. For the sentiment I used the same die-cutting sandwich as the Globe and Circle dies: Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, red cardstock, Sizzix Thinlits Adventure Words: Script die set (cutting side down), then the second Cutting Pad.
And there you have it! Intricate detail without all the work!
