Smile Please Card

Project #12025

The Jillibean Soup collection is designed to fit in with more contemporary styles of papercrafting whilst containing elements which will be a welcome edition to any paper crafter's die-cutting stash whatever your style.

Other Supplies: 6" x 6" Kraft Card Blanks, Adhesive Foam, Curiosity Corner Paper, Double-Sided Tape, Fine Black Marker, Gold Cardstock, Ink Blending Tool, Old Paper Distress Ink Pad, Prym Tracing Wheel, PVA glue

  1. Take a rectangle of the patterned paper and tear down one edge before attaching to the right hand side of a 6" x 6" kraft card blank. Lightly ink the edges to give an aged appearance.
  2. Use the die to cut the sentiment aperture and use the same die to cut the words "smile please" from gold cardstock before mounting the individual letters into their corresponding apertures, securing with double-sided tape. Use a tracing wheel to create a border around the perimeter of the card and join up the holes with a fine marker to mimic the effect of machine stitching.
  3. Die-cut and ink a couple of tabs from patterned paper and trim one slightly shorter before mounting near the bottom right hand corner of the base card.
  4. Die-cut an assortment of elements from patterned paper and gold cardstock. Thread the die-cut button with cotton and curl the wings of the butterfly to add dimension. Attach the elements to the card using adhesive foam.
