Hello Flower Bag

Project #13128
13128

Looking for the complete package? We've got it in the bag with this Stephanie Barnard-inspired project that will enhance your gift giving needs.

Other Supplies: Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Button, Decorative Metal Butterfly, Embroidery Floss, Ink, Ribbon, Stamp Mount, Sticky Note

Cut the Bag w/Handles #2 out of 12" x 12" cardstock using the eclips machine and Albums, Bags & Boxes cartridge. Select the Bag and select Fit and Cut. Trim the flap off of the Bag. While the Bag is still flat, stamp polka dots onto the front portion of the Bag. Emboss a piece of coordinating cardstock using the Snow Flowers embossing folder. Highlight the raised designs with ink. Attach a strip of patterned paper along the bottom front of the Bag. Layer the finished embossed piece over the top of the patterned paper. Cut excess material from the sides of the patterned paper and embossed paper to match the silhouette of the Bag. Fold along score lines to assemble the Bag. Die-cut 3-D Fringe Flower out of dictionary paper. Ink the flowers to distress and layer. Curl the edges to add dimension. Embellish Flower center with a threaded button. Die-cut Leaves (using the Butterfly Wings Framelits die from Butterflies set) out of coordinating cardstock. Stamp swirl pattern on top of the Leaves. Attach the Leaves and finished Flower to the front of the Bag. Stamp "hello" sentiment and frame onto coordinating cardstock. Align the corresponding Framelits dies over the stamped images and die-cut. For ease of use, we recommend using a sticky note to hold the Framelits die in place while shapes are being cut. Tie a ribbon bow around the handle of the Bag. Glue the tag and a decorative metal butterfly to the bow.
