6" x 6" Green printCut (7) Leaves*, various sizes
1/2 ydBackground and backing fabricCut (2) 13" Squares
13" x 13"Low loft batting
112" Square pillow form
1 packageFusible adhesive


  • Finished Size: 12" x 12"
  • Fat 1/8 = approximately 9" x 22"
  • * = Adhere fusible adhesive to back of fabric before die-cutting the shapes.

Assembling the Project:

  1. Use one 13" Square for the front of the pillow and one for the back. Set back aside for now.
  2. Place Branch about 4" from the bottom of front of the pillow. Heat fuse in place with an iron. Stitch around as desired.
  3. Layer Owl pieces and Leaves on the Branch. Heat fuse in place with an iron. Stitch around as desired.


  1. Layer the batting and pillow top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
  2. Layer the pillow top and pillow back, right sides together. Pin and sew with 1/2" seam allowance, leaving an opening approximately 6" long to insert pillow form.
  3. Clip excess fabric in the corners on the diagonal. Turn right-side-out, insert the pillow form and whipstitch closed.
