Piecing the Quilt:

  2. Arrange the Celtic Flowers on the background. When satisfied with the arrangement, heat fuse in place with an iron. Stitch around shapes as desired.
  3. Sew the 2 1/2" x 17" border strips to each the side of the quilt. Press.
  4. Sew the cornerstones to each end of the 2 1/2" x 17" remaining border strips. Sew the borders to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press.

Finishing:

  1. Layer the backing and quilt top right sides together, with the batting at the bottom.
  2. Pin and sew with 1/2" seam allowance, leaving an opening approximately 6" long.
  3. Clip excess fabric in the corners on the diagonal. Turn right-side-out.
  4. Tie or quilt as desired.
  5. Whipstitch hole closed.
