Fabric Requirements:

3/4 ydBinding fabricCut (8) 2 1/2" wide Strips x WOF
3 1/2 ydBacking fabric
66" x 66"Batting
4 1/2 yd Lightweight fusible adhesive

Notes:

  • Finished Size: 57 1/2" x 57 1/2"
  • All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
  • * = Adhere fusible adhesive to back of fabric before die-cutting the shapes.
  • WOF = width of fabric

Piecing the Quilt:

  1. Center an olive-colored Flower Wheel on a 10" berry-colored Square. Heat fuse in place with an iron. Stitch around shapes as desired. Repeat with all remaining olive-colored Flower Wheels and 10" berry-colored Squares.
  2. Center a berry-colored Flower Wheel on a 10" olive-colored Square. Heat fuse in place with an iron. Stitch around shapes as desired. Repeat with all remaining berry-colored Flower Wheels and olive-colored Squares.
  3. Arrange the Squares into rows, alternating between olive and berry, 6 across by 6 down.
  4. Sew the Squares into rows.
  5. Sew rows together. Press.

Finishing:

  1. Layer the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
  2. Sew the binding strips together to form one long strip. Fold the binding in half lengthwise, with wrong sides together, and press.
  3. With a 1/4" seam, sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the quilt and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
