Stay cozy even on the frostiest winter days. You’ll love embellishing this flurry of friendly snowmen with your own personal style.

Notes:

  • Finished Size: 34 1/2" x 42 1/2"
  • All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.

Piecing the Project:

  1. On each blue check 8 1/2" Square, place a Snowman. Stitch in place using a decorative stitch.
  2. Using the quilt image as a guide, arrange the 8 1/2" Squares in rows, three across by four down.
  3. Measure from the top to the bottom of the quilt top. Use this measurement to cut the 2" wide ivory Strips to form side borders. If necessary, piece two Strips together to make the Strip long enough. Sew the side borders in place. Press.
  4. Measure from the left side to the right side of the quit top. Use this measurement to cut the 2" wide ivory Strips to form top and bottom borders. Sew the top and bottom borders onto the quilt. Press.
  5. Measure from the top to the bottom of the quilt top. Use this measurement to cut 4 1/2" wide blue/ivory print Strips to form side borders. If necessary, piece the two Strips together to make the Strip long enough. Sew the side borders in place. Press.
  6. Measure from the left side to the right side of the quit top. Use this measurement to cut the 4 1/2" wide blue/ivory print Strips to form top and bottom borders. Sew the top and bottom borders onto the quilt. Press.

Finishing:

  1. Layer the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt by hand or machine as desired.
  2. Sew binding Strips together to form one long Strip. Fold wrong sides together lengthwise, and press.
  3. With a 1/4" seam, sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the quilt, and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
