Hello Lace & Butterflies Tag

It’s time for tags! Make a mixed-media statement with everything from butterflies to lace and a whole lot of inspiration in between.

  • Idea-ology® Paper Stash® - Collage by Tim Holtz
  • Patterned Paper (Floral)
  • Double-Sided Tape or Tape Runner
  • Hole Punch
  • Liquid Adhesive
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Ranger Distress Ink (Rusty Hinge) by Tim Holtz
  • Ranger Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China, Picked Raspberry) by Tim Holtz
  • Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • Ribbon (Lace)
  • Tassel Charm

  1. Cut a 3" x 5" piece of kraft cardstock. Using scissors, cut the corners to create a tag. Using the Mink Ink Blending Tool, add Distress Ink (Rusty Hinge) to the edges of the tag.
  2. Cut a 3" x 3 1/4" piece of Collage cardstock. Emboss the Collage cardstock with the Springtime embossing folder. Using the Mini Ink Blending Tool, add Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China and Picked Raspberry) to the emboss areas. Adhere the embossed cardstock to the center of the tag with double-sided tape.
  3. Die-cut three butterflies out of a pink Brite-ons Paper Sheet.
  4. Die-cut three butterfly bodies out of a cream Brite-ons Paper Sheet. Adhere the bodies to the butterflies with liquid adhesive. Set aside the butterflies.
  5. Attach an Adhesive Sheet to the back of a black Brite-ons Paper Sheet. Die-cut the word Hello out of the prepared black Brite-ons Paper Sheet.
  6. Cut a 3" piece of lace ribbon. Adhere the lace ribbon to the bottom of the tag with liquid adhesive.
  7. Cut a strip of floral cardstock. Adhere the strip to the center of the lace ribbon with liquid adhesive.
  8. Remove the adhesive backing from the word Hello, and adhere the word to the left side of the floral strip.
  9. Adhere one medium butterfly next to the word with liquid adhesive.
  10. Adhere the large butterfly to the center of the tag with liquid adhesive.
  11. Adhere the small butterfly to the top of the tag with liquid adhesive.
  12. Punch a hole in the top center of the tag. Loop the tassel charm through the hole.
