House Fold-its Card

Here’s one the whole neighborhood will love. Take this fun on-the-fold shape and make it into a heartfelt homemade card.



Other Supplies:

  • Cardstock (Black, Dark Gray, Green, Kraft, Light Gray, Lime Green, Navy)
  • Patterned Paper
  • Adhesive Foam Tape
  • Double-Sided Tape or Tape Runner
  • Enamel Dots
  • Fine-Tip Pen (Brown)
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Hot Glue Sticks
  • Ink Blending Tool or Foam Sponge
  • Ink Pads (Gray, Green)
  • Liquid Adhesive
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Ribbon (Navy and White Polka Dot)
  • Scissors
  • Wire

  1. Fold a piece of navy cardstock in half. Align the fold just past the die edge, and die-cut a card base from the House Fold-its set.
  2. Die-cut out of navy cardstock a single House shape. Adhere the House to the card base with double-sided tape.
  3. Die-cut a square out of patterned paper. Adhere the square to the card base with double-sided tape.
  4. Die-cut out of patterned paper a triangle rooftop. Adhere the patterned rooftop to the card base with adhesive foam tape.
  5. Die-cut out of kraft cardstock a tree. Die-cut out of green and lime green cardstock the layering pieces of the tree. With an ink blending tool, add green ink to the lime green tree pieces. Adhere all of the tree pieces to the kraft tree trunk with adhesive foam tape and liquid adhesive. Add details to the kraft tree trunk with a fine-tip brown pen. Adhere the tree to the card base with adhesive foam tape.
  6. Die-cut the door out of dark gray cardstock. Using scissors, cut a small piece of light gray cardstock to layer behind the door knob on the dark gray door. Adhere the light gray cardstock behind the dark gray door knob with liquid adhesive. Adhere the door to the card base with double-sided tape.
  7. Die-cut out white cardstock two window panels. Die-cut out of black cardstock two window frames. Adhere the windows and frames together with liquid adhesive. Adhere the layered windows to the card base with adhesive foam tape.
  8. Die-cut out of kraft cardstock a chimney base. Die-cut the layering cutout chimney out of kraft cardstock. Layer and adhere together the chimney pieces with liquid adhesive. Adhere the chimney to the card base with double-sided tape.
  9. Adhere a small piece of wire in between the two house panels with hot glue.
  10. Die-cut out of white cardstock a cloud. With an ink blending tool, add gray ink to the edges of the cloud. Adhere the cloud to the wire with hot glue.
  11. Adhere with hot glue a small navy and white polka-dot ribbon to the top of the roof. Adhere enamel dots with hot glue to the base of the roof.
