Hello crafters, it's Aida here. Do you keep feeling as if the year has flown past quickly ? From looking at the crafting blogs, I see that some have already started on Christmas projects and are on the look out for pretty gift or decorating ideas. Today I have an art decor pendant ideal for a gift or you can even use it as a Christmas Tree ornament with just a simple switch of the center piece.
This is how the pendant looks and I've chosen to work with an emerald color theme.
Die-cut the frame using the mat board, then ink with Distress Inks Peacock Feathers and Shabby Shuttters which created a pretty emerald shade. After that I randomly stamped with an italic script using Archival Ink in Jet Black. Next, emboss with 2 layers of UTEE and after the second UTEE layer, while still hot, lightly sprinkle Glitter Distress over the frame. Move the heat gun over the frame and you will see the glitter sinking into the heated UTEE. Remember to cool completely.
Next I stamped an image of a woman on to the center piece.
The image was colored using Distress Markers and edged with Distress Inks Peacock Feathers and Black Soot. After that was done, I embossed with UTEE.
Finally, pop the center piece back into the frame and on the back, add a thin line of clear drying glue to the edge of the oval. Add a jump-ring, a pretty wispy ribbon and a thin leather string to complete the pendant.
This is really an easy project to finish and you could make dozens of these very quickly. Thank you for coming by, have a great November !
