Hi everyone, Mou here with today’s Sizzix Inspiration!
Today's card is inspired by the colors that I'm seeing in my children's summer wear.
Now, let me walk you through the steps to make this card:
Trim cardstock to a 5.5" x 5.5" square. Lay the Layered Butterfly Bigz die blade side up on one of the cutting pads, lay cardstock on it and layer the other cutting pad on top. Run the whole sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot machine to die cut the butterfly.
Place the diecut butterfly inside the Texture Fade folder matching up the design. You could secure it in place with a little washi tape. Now, place this folder between two cutting pads and lay the sandwich on Tab 1 of the Multipurpose Platform. Run the set up through the Big Shot machine to emboss the die cut butterfly.
Fold an 8.5" x 5.5" cardstock in half to make a 4.25" x 5.5" card. With Jet Black Archival ink, stamp the Life words on the card front. With mini blending tool apply the Distress inks (Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, and Wild Honey) to color the card. Flick some water with a paintbrush to make the Distress Inks react.
Color the embossed die cut butterfly with Mini ink blending tool and Crushed Olive, Frayed Burlap, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, and Wild Honey Distress Inks. Flick some water with a paintbrush to make the Distress Inks react.
Attach the butterfly to the card using adhesive down the middle. Fold up the wings a bit to add dimension.
Stamp "#friendsforlife" on a strip of cardstock. With scissors, separate the words and attach them to the bottom right part of the butterfly's wing to finish the card.

I hope you find today's post inspiring and try out this beautiful Layered Butterfly die that comes with it's own embossing folder.
