Cake Bunting: A Sweet Valentine's Day Treat

Cake Bunting: A Sweet Valentine's Day Treat

Hi everyone, it’s Jess from Everyday Party Magazine.  Today I am sharing a SIMPLE 5 minute or less cake bunting DIY.  I used pink and white paper, pink polka dot paper straws, and red and white baker’s twine.

To make this cake bunting, you will need  a Sizzix Big ShotCutting Pads, Sizzix Bigz Die - Key to My Heart, pink and white scrapbook paper, two paper straws, a single hole punch,  scissors, and baker’s twine.

Begin by making your Sizzix sandwich; Sizzix cutting pad, Sizzix Bigz Die - Key to my heart, paper, cutting pad, and roll it through your Sizzix.

Use your hole punch to add two holes to the heart strand.  Feed baker’s twine through the holes.  (You can secure it with tape on the back side.) Use scissors to cut two small slits at the top of each straw.  Slide the twine into the slits, and wrap it around the straw, and tie it to secure it.  I left a little twine to dangle.  Poke the straws into the cake, and voila!  If you feel really fancy, you can use one of the smaller heart cut outs as a stencil for the cake and add sprinkles.
