Our Chrome Precision Base Plate is nothing short of a game changer. In addition to all the features we mentioned above,, the Chrome Precision Base Plate leaves no impressions behind from previous cuts—so it always looks new even after 1000 uses!

We do have just one warning, as amazing as this nifty tool is, we advise against using it in your Big Shot Plus machine as damage will occur.

We totally understand! We love our Big Shot Plus too, but for right now we have not yet created a precision base plate that will work with the double roller technology in the Big Shot Plus. Although we strive to continue to innovate awesome products!

Is the ORIGINAL Precision Base Plate SAFE to use in the Sizzix Big Shot Plus Die cutting machine? I have Both machines however, Only used the Precision Base Plate in my Big Shot. I remember there were "rusting" issues with the very first Precision Base Plate for folks who live near the ocean. I have the original and mine started to rust so I stopped using it . I waiting for the "revised" Non-Rusting version which had some kind of coating on it. I just added shims in lieu of dealing with the "rust" and "flock"...

Yes, we only recommend you use it in the Big Shot. It is safe to use in the Big Shot but not in the Big Shot Plus because the Big Shot Plus has different roller technology than the regular Big Shot.
