Hi everyone, it’s Jess from Everyday Party Magazine. Today I am sharing a SIMPLE 5 minute or less holiday gift card envelope! I used fun green and red scrapbook paper scraps from Michaels.
To make this gift card envelope, you will need a Sizzix Big Shot, Cutting Pads, Sizzix Accessory - Standard Magnetic Platform, Pocket, Cards, and Tabs, red and green scrapbook paper, a tape runner or glue stick, a single hole punch, hot glue gun with glue and ribbon (optional), and a gift card.
Begin by making your Sizzix sandwich; Sizzix Magnet Board, Sizzix cutting pad, paper, thinlits, cutting pad, and roll it through your Sizzix.
Assemble the pocket with a tape runner or glue stick.
Use the little tab piece that goes into the pocket to hide the gift card. You will need to put the tab inside the pocket and secure it so the pocket is deep enough to hold and hide the gift card. I used a tape runner to attach the tab to the pocket. Then, I used my paper punch to punch a hole in the paper AND the gift card. This was hard, because the gift card is super thick, but I was able to get it.
I hot glued a small loop of ribbon together through the hole so I could hang it on the Christmas tree, but that is totally optional.
This was such a fun and easy way to dress up a boring gift card! And it’s not just for Christmas!
