Cupcake Topper: A Cute and Quick DIY

Cupcake Topper: A Cute and Quick DIY

Hi, it's Laura from Make Life Lovely, and I'm so excited to share with you one of my favorite new dies from Where Women Cook. Where Women Cook has a whole new line of dies out that are perfect for parties!  I recently served a stack of donuts and used the new Hooray Cake Topper die to add some fun. Here's how to make your own cute toppers with the new Hooray and Birthday Wishes Cake Topper dies.

Cupcake Topper: A Cute and Quick DIY

First, make a Sizzix sandwich in this order:  the Magnetic Platform on the bottom, a Cutting Pad, the paper, the die, then the other Cutting Pad.

Roll it all through the Big Shot, then use a Die Pick and poke it through the small holes to remove the topper and extra paper pieces.

There are two small holes on the side of the topper so that you can use a piece of string or twine to tie the paper topper to skewers or sticks.

I used a thinner paper on mine, so I just cut off the little holes and used a glue gun to glue mine onto two skewers.

Now just stick your cute topper into a cake, a group of cupcakes, a stack of donuts, or whatever else you can think of!

I love how easy it is to turn a plain dessert into a fun treat for a party with these new dies.  What treat would you put these new toppers in?

Happy crafting!
