Get Card Crafting For The Holidays With This Cute Snowman Card

Hi everyone!  It's Jan here today, sharing a cute snowman card.  I'm sure there are lots of you who have already started on making your holiday cards, so here's one for some inspiration.  I love anything with snowmen, so these new dies that are a part of the Let It Snow collection by Debi Potter had no trouble finding their way into my die collection.

Beginning with the Sizzix Let It Snow Thinlits die, I die-cut one from velvet paper.  This is a flocked speciality paper from S.E.I. which is perfect for my snowmen.  My Sizzix sandwich for the Thinlits die is, my Standard Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pad, paper, Thinlits Die (cutting side down), Standard Cutting Pad.

This is what the die cut looks like when cut out.  I will be cutting out certain parts again from different coloured papers to insert in the open areas.

I also die-cut a single snowman from Debi Potter's Snowman Thinlits die using the same Sizzix Sandwich as the one before.  This was cut out with the velvet paper and also a patterned paper to place behind the velvet.

I adhered the snowmen die-cut to a piece of patterned paper.  Next I die-cut the words, Let it Snow out of a patterned paper and adhered them inside the coordinating letters.

I also die-cut the nose and eyes in a different paper and adhered these.  For the hearts and snowflakes, I die-cut those from an adhesive sheet.  Peeling off backing from one side, I placed the sticky side onto my coordinating cut out. Peel off the remaining top backing, and sprinkle glitter onto this sticky die-cut.  Adhere this card to a dark cardstock mat.

I then pop dotted the back of the single snowman and adhered him to the right corner.  Tie a sheer bow across the card.  Adhere this card front to your card base.

I like to dress up the insides of my cards too and this Christmas Tree & Snowflakes Thinlits die by Debi Potter also, was too cute to resist.  This was die-cut using the Thinlits Sizzix sandwich also.  I cut out two die-cuts of the tree, one for the small stars and tree base accents behind the dark coloured tree.
