Hi! Kylie here from Made by a Princess. Next week is Thanksgiving which not only means my Mom's famous dressing and pumpkin pie but it also means that those silly elves will be coming back! We have two elves now, Icicle & Snowy and they are very high maintenance. The ones pictured in this post are actually just stand ins because the "real" ones are still in the North Pole...at least that's what I told my 4 year old. When I saw the new Brenda Walton collection I instantly thought of the little notes my kids have left Icicle & Snowy over the years and decided it would be perfect for sending notes back and forth.
I started with the Brenda Walton XL Library Pocket and made two pockets and two cards, one in green and another in red. Using the sandwich method (Cutting Pad, die, paper, Crease Pad), roll your sandwich through the Big Shot Machine until the whole thing has come through on the other side.
I then used white glitter cardstock to make the bookmarks and a little bit of green and red paper to make the bookmark tab.I glued my pockets together and set aside to dry. I knew I needed several little envelopes so I found several papers that coordinated so each would be a little different. Using the same method as above, use the Brenda Walton Bigz L Mini Inserts and Envelopes. I used the Brenda Walton Party Dress Thinlits for the embellishments like the little bows, banners, and decorative frames. You use the sandwich method for Thinlits as well but you will also need a Magnetic Platform and Cutting Pads. It's no surprise that the red glittery one is my favorite. I made one pocket for each elf.Your elves can write notes to your kids and then the kids can write notes back.
Do you have elves? I would love to hear what you call them! I have a Magical Elf Printable Set in my shop and every year I look forward to creating the welcome signs because the elf names are so cute! My favorite so far this year is Merry Glitterpie.
