Hi there! Michelle here from Michelle's Party Plan-It with a new party tutorial for you today. Father's Day is just around the corner and I'm planning a little steampunk dinner party for my husband. If you know me at all, you know that I'm a Steampunk fan and as you may guess, I go crazy for all the Tim Holtz dies. So when I saw his latest Sizzix dies with tons of gears and gadgets, I knew I wanted to incorporate them into my husband's upcoming dinner party.
For my project, I decided to add some brown and black vinyl gears to a few galvanized chargers. Steampunking tableware has never been easier. All you need is a Sizzix Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Gadget Gears #2 Bigz Die, Gearhead Thinlits and Craft Vinyl.
Starting with the Thinlits dies, I create a sandwich. The sandwich for using the Magnetic Platform is; Magnetic Platform, Cutting Pad, vinyl, Thinlits and a second Cutting Pad (not shown). After I made the sandwich, I simply passed it through the machine.
Moving on to the Gadget Gears #2 Bg Die, I simply placed the vinyl on top of the die and sandwiched it between two Cutting Pads and passed it through the Big Shot.
Next, I arranged the die cuts on the charger and then removed the backing to secure them in place.
And that's it! Easy yet impactful Steampunk Chargers, perfect for any Steampunk themed celebration! What do you think? I'd love to hear from you!
