Hi there, it's Laura from Make Life Lovely here with a Father's Day Trophy Box.
When I first saw Brenda Walton's new Trophy die, I thought immediately of my husband and my father. They both are such great role models and are wonderful dads and husbands, so I wanted to make a cute little gift box for each of them. This gift box is the perfect size to hold a gift card or their favorite treat!
To make each gift box I first cut two pieces of black Little Sizzles mat board and two pieces of gold glitter paper using the Trophy die. I made a Sizzix sandwich with a mint Cutting Pad (that I LOVE), the Trophy die cutting side up, the black Little Sizzles, and the other mint cutting pad. I rolled it all through my Sizzix Big Shot.
I adhered a gold trophy onto the black gold trophy mat board, and repeated for the other two trophies. I die cut a piece from the Make It 3-D die set, and used a glue gun to adhere it to both pieces of the trophy to make the trophy box.
I die cut a black medallion shape from the Awards Framelits, also by Brenda Walton, and then stamped "Best Dad Award" onto a banner from the collection. I also added two green leaves to the bottom of the medallion, and then used pop dots to add the whole thing to the front of the gold trophy.
What dad wouldn't want to get a cute trophy box with his favorite gift card inside? I know my husband and dad will love theirs!
