Hello Crafties ! It's Aida here today with a romantic little project I hope you will love! The Library Pocket by Brenda Walton is a wonderfully versatile die you can use as is, or in handmade books and cards.
The Birdcage is such a beautiful accent to any project.
The Birdcage was die cut in Silver Glitter card stock and I've added a metal Happiness adornment to the front.
And here you can see the details close up.
A stamped sentiment as the title completed the card.
The Whimsy and Delight Thinlits set is so pretty with many pieces you can use over and over again!
I use a Big Shot Plus but these dies can easily be used with the Big Shot. To die cut the Birdcage Thinlits, on the Big Shot Plus, you will need the Platform, Adapter A and 2 Cutting Pads.
On the Platform and one Cutting Pad, the Glitter card stock is placed facing UP, and the cutting side of the Birdcage die is placed facing DOWN. The other Cutting Pad goes on top and then you roll it through.
Next, use the Brush and Foam set. On the Foam, lay your die with the Glitter card stock and roll the Brush over it several times till the Birdcage dislodges from the die.
You can see the Birdcage is perfectly die-cut with all the intricate portions clean and sharp.
These are the other pieces you will need : the card stock backing die cut from the Library Pocket, the patterned paper, Birdcage and the small pieces die cut using the Whimsy and Delight Thinlits.
Adhere the Glitter Birdcage to the patterned paper. To the font of the Library Pocket I added a strip of cream ribbon and then built up the die cut pieces on top.
These are the small pieces I used.
You can see the assembled layers.
I love romantic, elegant projects and this piece can be extended to so many other ideas. Imagine someone special receiving this card and how thrilled they would be. Thank you for dropping by and here's wishing you a happy, crafty rest of the week !
