Gift Wrapping DIY: Make Your Gifts The Prettiest Ones Under The Tree

Gift Wrapping DIY: Make Your Gifts The Prettiest Ones Under The Tree

Hi Everyone! Tara here today with a gift wrapping DIY. There's something so satisfying about topping off a present with a big beautiful bow, or a small swag of cedar boughs. It makes the gift look even more thought-out; the loving care you put into wrapping it shows just how much you enjoy giving the gift.

I had a roll of kraft paper - possibly the most versatile wrapping paper ever - and decided to use some Christmas themed dies to jazz up my plain packages.

I was thrilled with the results!

I had this Tim Holtz Alterations Victorian Carolers die. I just adore the silhouette of the happy couple. I grabbed some black adhesive vinyl and my Sizzix Big Shot and cut out the shapes.

In no time at all, my plain package gained style, and stands out among the crowd of packages under the tree.

I played with Brenda Walton's Poinsettia Swirls Sizzlit die and metallic cardstocks. I love mixing metallics - at Christmastime, the combination of gold and silver work wonderfully together.

A small package was gussied up with a doily and one of Brenda's poinsettias. I took a few gold berries from a floral spray and glued them to the flower's center.

The same sized package - I can't tell you what's waiting inside of these little boxes! - was wrapped in baker's twine and topped with the Holly Branch Bigz die.

The branch was cut from metallic cardstock, while the leaves were cut from green Core'dinations Signature Cardstock.

Each present "flourish" is simple in its essence, but adds so much to the gifts. These brown paper packages - sometimes tied up in string - can be some of the fanciest ones under the tree.
