Hello! Tami Mayberry from Create It Simply here with you today to share another quick and easy project to help step-up your gift wrapping routine. This handmade bow comes together quickly and easily and can customized for any occasion. For this particular design I used an old book from a thrift store and paired it with some gorgeous Spring ribbon.
For this project I used three Sizzix die sets:
- Sizzix Framelits Plus Die Set 15PK - Circles
- Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Tiny Party Hat,
- Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - Garland Shapes
Die-cut a 3-inch Framelits Plus Die Set 15PK - Circles shape from kraft cardstock.
Place a 2-inch Framelits Plus Die Set 15PK - Circles onto panel; trace along inside.
You should now have a base for your bow with a line as a placement guide.
Die-cut a medium Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 3PK - Tiny Party Hat shape from the page of an old book.
The piece will have a tab and scored line. Add adhesive to the tab as shown above.
Roll shape into a cone and secure tab in place.
Adhere cones to base as shown aligning points alone line.
Continue in the same manner until the entire layer is filled.
Repeat in the same manner completing two more layers.
Once filled, press flat if desired. Trim frayed flower shape from ribbon; adhere to center of bow.
Die-cut crown shape from pink glitter cardstock using Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 6PK - Garland Shapes; adhere to center of bow. Wrap package with kraft paper. Follow with rose print and green stain ribbons. Attach bow to center.
