Hey friends! Adrianne here with you today, and I've got my favorite type of project to share with you: something quick and easy! I made up these gift tags with dies and stamps from the new Sizzix line from Stephanie Ackerman.
I only needed a few sheets (or scraps, even!) of coordinating papers to create these sweet handmade gift tags. I used 6x6 papers from the Tim Holtz Nostalgic Collection, two small Sizzix Originals dies, and the SIzzix Framelits snowman & tag dies. A little bit of ink, a hint of marker, and some satin ribbon later, I had a sweet set of coordinated tags.
First, die cut your pieces. I started by cutting three tags with the Snowman & Tag Framelits die. I was able to squeeze 3 out of one 6x6 inch sheet of card stock. Place the die on your paper, and create your Sizzix sandwich by adding an acrylic cutting pad above and underneath your paper and die. Place it all on the magnetic platform - so that your die doesn't slide around. Roll it through your Sizzix Big Shot, and instantly, you've got tag bases.
Now, you could just write your tags out after die-cutting them, but where's the fun in that? So I die-cut the snowman and his accessories from the tag set, and also used the holly and snowflake Originals dies with coordinating papers to add some quick embellishments.
Finally, I stamped a couple of gift touches with the coordinating clear stamps from the tag set. The snowman needed a face, of course, and I added "to" and "from" spaces as well.
Finally, I cut an 8 inch length of satin ribbon, and tied it through the tag's hole so that it can be tied onto a gift! These understated colors are great for rustic-inspired wrapping jobs. You can of course make them bright and cheerful to match any paper!
