Hey friends! Adrianne here with you today to share a quick project that's a perfect little treat for a friend, co-worker, or even a Secret Santa! These holiday treat boxes and cards are created with a few of the new dies from the Jen Long Designs collection.
This is something simple and inexpensive that you can put together in just a few minutes and leave on someone's desk to brighten their day.
I used some new Sizzix Bigz dies, and added a quick stamp to the inside of the card for a simple matched set.
First, die cut the pieces of your Christmas Tree Box. You'll need 3 panels, and one base. You can get two treat boxes out of one sheet of 12x12 paper. Create your Sizzix sandwich by arranging the paper on the die to minimize waste, place it between a pair of cutting pads, and roll it through your Sizzix Big Shot.
Assemble the box by gluing the base on and the sides together. Don't glue all the way up to the top! The top portion of the box can open and close to hide treats or a small gift inside!
Next, fold a 4x8 inch piece of paper in half, and align it just inside the edge of the tree die along the fold. If you look carefully, you'll see the very tips of the tree branches extend beyond the fold line. Sandwich it between your acrylic cutting pads, and roll it through your Big Shot to die-cut a simple but cute tree card.
Optionally, you can stamp a quick greeting inside. The Christmas Greetings stamp set is perfect!
I love the size of these, because you can add some individually-wrapped chocolates underneath to look like presents! This box makes up so quickly that you could easily make a set of 25 in an afternoon to create a a whole forest as a twist on the traditional advent calendar.
Thanks for joining me for today's quick project, and I'll see you guys again soon!
