It's a Party! Get Gifting With This DIY Wrapping Idea

Party BS 1

How adorable is the new Stephanie Barnard Sizzix Framelit die, It’s a Party, Drop in’s Card. Nicole here with this card... no wait, more like a gift wrapped box with a Sizzix twist.  I am sharing my fun take on gift wrapping with Sizzix die cuts and how to incorporate the It's a Party Card.  So, c'mon... lets party!Party 1

My husband saved me this box from a new thermostat.  It's always a good idea to hold onto such things, just incase!   So I used some pattern Core'dinations paper, perfect for wrapping and die cutting.  Just measure, cut and adhere onto the box.

With the paper in place on the box, sand the edges for that pretty worn look.  Select some paper and start cutting the It’s a Party, Drop in’s Card Framelit pieces.  The Standard Magnetic Platform is a must for cutting on pattern paper so the wafer- thin dies won’t shift.

I cut the “It’s a Party” portion of the Framelit with 3 different pattern papers to layer.  Have fun and cut some of the letters out.  I sanded the edges and added some frayed burlap distress ink.

I just got the Xyron Creative Station just so I could use them for my extensive Sizzix die collection.  It makes attaching your die cuts effortless!  How did my Sizzix dies and I ever manage before?

Party 5

I cut the Washer border and used the Die Brush and Foam Pad to remove the extra paper bits… so handy and quick. I cut it in half to border the It’s a Party card then ran this smaller cut through the Xyron Create a Sticker for my smaller die cuts.  A Tied Bow and Stitched Oval tag to make it pretty.

All pulled together for this bright fun wrapped It’s a Party Box.  By using the Framelit It’s a Party die with multiple pattern papers and colors you can layer and create a bright cheerful gift.  Get creative and fold the washer border in half and adorn the sides of the box for a whimsical pop of color and texture.

This ready made gift can be filled with a birthday gift, hostess gift or even decorated for a baby shower.  The gift giving is limited by your imagination.  You can easily pick up boxes of various sizes at a dollar store, especially during the holidays.  When you cover them with paper and die cuts they can be whatever you need.

Get your Sizzix dies ready for a different twist on gift wrapping.

Cheers, Nicole
