Hi! Kylie here from Made by a Princess. Valentine's Day is over but today I am sharing a project you can create for your love any day of the year. Lindsey Serata's new sweetheart collection was the inspiration for the candy topper tag I created for my husband...just because.
These new dies from Lindsey Serata are so sweet. Even though they are more geared to Valentine's Day they would be perfect for anniversaries, National Sweetest Day, Mother's Day, or just because you want to let someone know you love them. I decided to make my husband a little package of caramels from McCrea's Candies because I'm "sweet" on him. This project took less than 15 minutes so you could easily pull this off if you don't have much time to put it together. Here is what you are going to need:
- Scrapbook paper
- Thinlits Die Set Pocket Mini Shaker
- Framelits and Stamps Set My Valentine
- Framelits and Stamps Set Love in Lights
- Acrylic Stamp Mount
- Big Shot
- Magnetic Platform
- Crease Pad
- Cutting Pad
- Cellophane Bag
- Stamp pad
Let's get started! Cute a piece of cardstock measuring 4.5" x 4.5" and fold in half. I chose gold but you can use whatever color you like. Using the sandwich method (Magnetic Platform, Watermelon Cutting Pad, paper, and large frame from the Thinlits Die Set Pocket Mini Shaker), roll your sandwich through the Big Shot Machine until the whole thing has come through on the other side. Using the same method as before cut out the hearts, XOXOs, and LOVE.
Glue your frame (brown paper pictured below) onto your 4.5" x 4.5" piece of cardstock. Let dry while you are stamping your hearts.
Place the stamps (from the Framelits and Stamps My Valentine set) on a clear acrylic stamp mount and stamp both of your hearts. The larger oddly shaped heart with the lines that kind of looks like a mouth and the smaller one with whatever you would like to stamp on the heart. I chose, "Love U Hubby". I then cut out just one of the "XO" from the strip and discarded the rest.
Package your box of caramels, or any treat you like, in a cellophane bag with some shred, fold over the top, and staple your candy bag topper. That's it! Your bag of goodies is ready for gift giving.
How would you use these darling dies? We would love to hear from you!
