Lindsey Serata Takes Over Sizzix!

Hey Makers!

Lindsey Serata here!  In honor of the start of my Pumpkin Spice Maker Challenge, I’m commandeering the Sizzix Blog and sharing with you a little bit of my inspiration for the making of this line.

Growing up, the Fall season always represented new friends, new clothes, new school accessories and the anticipation of the coming end of the year holidays.  It was like a refreshing burst of inspiration after several months of sunny relaxation.  As an adult, Fall means Pumpkin Spice Latte’s, beautifully rich and warm colors, brown leather boots and all the infinity scarves my heart desires! I knew I HAD to create a Fall themed line that embodied everything it represents to me so that anyone can celebrate this beautiful time of year with me.

As if the Autumn leaves and pumpkin lattes weren’t enough, I believe that Fall carries two of the year’s BEST holidays…Halloween and Thanksgiving!

From the time I was young, I couldn’t really share a big winter holiday with my peers because they celebrated Christmas while I celebrated Hanukah.  Halloween became that one festive holiday that I could share with my school friends.  And being the drama geek that I was, I LOVED dressing up in costume, especially when I could participate in a theme with a group of friends.

I LOVE giving out Halloween goodies to family, friends, and trick-or-treaters, and I wanted to make sure to bring that into my Pumpkin Spice collection.  The “Trick or Treat” stamp and framelits, alone or coupled with a shaker pocket, gives you all you need to make candy pouches, Halloween tags, and even spooky greeting cards in a snap!

Thanksgiving was always a special holiday for me but became much more meaningful as an adult.  I relish in the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to my family as well as celebrating Friendsgiving with the family I’ve chosen.  And it’s the perfect excuse to host a party!  My “Give Thanks, Eat Pie” stamp and framelits set works perfectly with the shaker pockets to make anything a Thanksgiving host would need to decorate. From invitations and thank you’s, to even name cards or food labels!  It’s the perfect way to shake up your Thanksgiving dinner table.

Today from 8AM to 3PM PST I’ll be taking over all Sizzix social media so make sure to check Facebook and Instagram for more Fall inspiration.  In the meantime, I have a proposition for you.  I know you’ll have just as much fun integrating these products into your Fall season so let's get creating!  Participate with me and my friends in the Pumpkin Spice Maker Challenge and show me what ya got!
