I like to say that Pop 'n Cuts are SIC!
- SIMPLE - all of the Pop 'n Cuts are cut and scored by the machine. They fold easily, leaving plenty of time for the fun part - decorating!
- INTERCHANGEABLE - you purchase a Base A2 Card Kit first, (it comes with your first pop-up insert, the Circle Label) and after that you only need to purchase new magnetic inserts (the guts) to change out the pop-up design.
- COORDINATED - you will find a coordinating Sizzlit or Movers & Shapers set that fits every one of the Pop 'n Cuts inserts. These optional decorator dies can be used on their own as flat dies, but, as an option, will perfectly decorate the Pop 'n Cuts pop-up shapes.
The Hello Sizzlit set includes the Funky Flowers Sizzlit, which is sized to decorate the Pop 'n Cuts Flower insert.
As is my custom, I took my video sample card and remade it in other colors. This time I decided to really challenge myself to make a Halloween card from these dies! I swapped out the "Hello" Sizzlit for the Label & Ribbon Movers & Shapers shape set, and stamped the greeting on the label. I also stamped and embossed spider webs across the Sizzlit flowers before gluing them to the Pop 'n Cut. A stamped spooky tree and a couple of rubber spiders completed the transformation.
Why did I make a Halloween card in June, with a flower pop-up die and a strip of birds? Because with dies you're investing in shapes and possibilities, not colors and patterns (or themes)! (If we all start saying it, maybe it will catch on!)
Live in the Houston area? The Creating Keepsakes Houston Convention is this Friday and Saturday, June 15-16, 2012. You will find me demo-ing the Pop 'n Cuts at the It's Cheaper than Therapy booth from 11am - 1 pm this Friday. On Saturday, Design Team member (and my BFF!) Gretchen Schmidt will be demoing all day in the same booth. Stop by and see us!
Happy die cutting!
