Hello everyone! Leica here to share my take of The Sizzix Challenge. This challenge was fun. I looked at the light bulb image with the flowers in it and what did I think of? Delicate flowers, earthy, water, texture. Immediately I knew I wanted to start creating the flower, so I cut multiple layers out of Tim Holtz tissue paper with the Flower #3 Bigz die. I use my Big Shot Pro for this.
Then I scrunched them in my hand. Crumple them a few times.
Once you have given them enough scrunches (this creates a HUGE amount of texture to have the flower really 3D) Start adhering all the layers together. Then I put the rhinestone gem in the centre. It reminds me of the glass of the light bulbs.
For the tag, I sprayed a tag with turquoise blue glimmer mist. In some parts I sprayed it again with the same colour so there was lot's of tone on tone.
Then I ran the tag through the Sizzix Die-cutting machine with the fabulous Damask embossing folder. It i stunning and elegant!!! I turned it sideways on the tag so I only embossed the middle section of the tag. Then I rubbed Inca Gold on it in a few different colours. I just use my finger to rub it in, it gets the best results.
I started adding the little details like doodle lines around the tag. I wrapped it with jute a few times. This gives a nice earthy look.
Put your flower on.
