Sizzix recently attended, exhibited at and sponsored Quilt Con 2015 in Austin, Texas – what an incredible event! Quilt Con was a mixture of modern quilt show, quilting education/workshops, and a shopping extravaganza. We had an amazing time. Take a peek at some the photos below...
Our booth, staffed by Linda, Kathy and Galina, was decked out in quilting glory. Not only were we busy helping quilting customers, we were also happy to welcome Sizzix Quilting licensed designers Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Co. and Victoria Findlay Wolfe into our booth!
Shoppers in the Sizzix booth were treated to inspiring sample projects, an assortment of product, and smiling faces of our staff who demoed our machines and dies.
Sizzix Licensed Designer Victoria Findlay Wolfe
Our newest Sizzix Quilting Licensed Designer, Victoria, was a busy gal at Quilt Con. Between book signings, teaching classes, giving a lecture to hundreds, and more, her plate was full! We’re thrilled to be working with this talented and energetic lady, and are even sponsoring a quilt challenge featuring her dies! Take a peek HERE to learn more about the amazing grand prize and how you can participate.
Wise words from Victoria - from the last slide in her Saturday lecture:

Stunning Quilts on Exhibit
Quilt Con had hundreds of fabulous quilts on display. The exhibit had a museum feeling – the fabric-based works of art were truly something to stop, enjoy, and appreciate. With a wide range of categories and styles, the quilt show was very impressive – as were their awards. Instead of regular award ribbons, each prize winning quilt received a custom fabric award ribbon. Such a nice touch!
Congratulations to Sizzix Blog Design Team member, Nicole Daksiewicz. Her gorgeous and graphic hexagon quilt - Geometric Rainbow - was on display at the show, which is a huge honor! Competition is stiff when it comes to having a quilt accepted so well done, Nicole!
