Hi everyone, it's Audrey, here today with some quick Sizzix inspiration featuring new stamps and dies by Tim Holtz.
This pretty spring-inspired card is made with a new Framelits stamp and die set by Tim Holtz called Limitations. The set includes four stamp images and matching dies in Tim's signature grunge style, that make creating detailed projects like this an absolute breeze.
Simply stamp the butterfly image, color, and die cut using this standard Sizzix die cutting sandwich for Framelits dies in the Big Shot Machine: Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pad, paper, Framelits die (cutting side down), Standard Cutting Pad. I added Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint to the butterfly, then sprinkled it with a bit of Distress glitter. Added it to my card base using foam adhesive just behind the butterfly body, leaving the wings free to curl upwards for extra dimension.
The butterfly was layered onto a 5"x5" card base, die cut with the second largest circle from the Sizzix Framelits Scallop Circles dies, using the same die cutting sandwich as mentioned above. I added some additional light stamping to the background paper using another stamp image from the Limitations set. The sentiment was die cut from Tim Holtz Core'dinations cardstock using the new Thinlits Adventure Words: Script die set. Thinlits dies use the same die cutting sandwich as Framelits.
Here's a little tip: if the sentiment die set you are using doesn't have the letters or words you need, try cutting and piecing them from the other words in the set. The Adventure Words: Script set didn't have a single "a" that I wanted for my project. So instead, I simply cut one from the beginning of the word "adventure", which does come in the set.
