Hi there! Michelle here from Michelle's Party Plan-It with more Army Party Sizzix Inspiration. Last time I shared the Army Thank You Cards I made for my son's recent Army Party, today I'm sharing some fun favor jars and tags.
If you are planning an Army or Military themed party for an upcoming birthday or holiday, there are several Sizzix dies you can use for to embellish your party favors. For my party favors, I filled mason jars with camouflage jelly beans and added a THANKS tag with stars.
For this project you will need the Sizzix Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Framelits Tags with Stamps by Stephanie Barnard, the Old Glory Bigz Die, Stacked Stars Big Die and Alphanumeric 1" Thinlits Set by Tim Holtz.
Starting with the mason jar, wrap a strip of card stock around the jar and add die cut stars from the Old Glory Bigz die. To die cut the stars you need to make a sandwich by placing the Bigz die between two cutting pads and then pass it through the Big Shot. Repeat the process with the Stacked Stars Bigz die and glue the stacked stars in the center of the jar.
For the tag, using the medium sized tag Framelits from Tags and Stamps, make a sandwich using the Magnetic Platform, a cutting pad, card stock, then the second cutting pad. Cut two tags. Next, die cut the word THANKS on one tag using the magnetic platform and the sandwich method with the Alphanumeric Thinlits set. Then adhere the two tags together, distress the edges with black ink and add two rows of stars.
Attach the tag to your jar with baker's twine and you have a fun Army themed party favor!
Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!
