Hello everyone! Leica Forrest here for today's Sizzix Inspiration.
Let's create a fabulous fun tag, just in time for Valentine's Day! So break out the Big Shot and cut a tag then emboss some plain white card stock.
I used the Tag & Bookplates die. The Bubble & Honeycomb Sizzix Texture Fades embossing folder set is awesome. Lot's of depth. When cutting these dies in the Big Shot all you need is a pair of Standard Cutting Pads. Make a sandwich with your die and paper between the cutting pads and roll them through your Sizzix Big Shot machine. The same applies for embossing folders, however, you would place the sandwich on top of the Extended Multipurpose Platform, open to tab 1.
Then spray it with your favourite glimmer mist. Let dry completely. Once dry, then ink the edges with dark brown ink such as a distress ink, or one from Colorbox-Dark Brown (my personal fave!!!).
Wrap some Baker's Twine around and around. It gives it such a neat look.
Tuck in a heart behind the twine, add some lettering, and it is ready to adorn the present for your loved one! For the heart, use the Banners & Hearts Sizzix Bigz die from the Stephanie Ackerman Homegrown & Handmade. Use the same sandwich as referenced above for the Tag & Bookplates die. Vintage Market is a nice and small alphabet die, so it fit on the tag perfectly. Vintage Market is a Decorative Strip die. When die cutting with Sizzix Decorative Strips sandwich your die and paper between a pair of Decorative Strip Cutting Pads, place it on top of your Extended Multipurpose Platform, open to tab 1 and put it through the Big Shot machine.
It didn't seem quite finished to me so I added some wooden hearts, and a crystal button. Seemed to finish it off nicely.
