Sizzix Inspiration | Leprechaun Houses by Jessica Roe

Sizzix Inspiration | Leprechaun Houses by Jessica Roe

Hi it’s Jessica from Everyday Party Magazine with a fun Sizzix Inspiration project and free printable!

As soon as one holiday is finished in our house, we are ready to move on to the next! Generally, I prefer to make most of our holiday decor.  Partially because I get bored with it quickly, but, also because the kids enjoy helping me decorate.  They love being able to help create our decorations!

As soon as I saw the Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die Box, Milk Carton, I knew I wanted to make Leprechaun houses with it!  I made one with craft paper and the left over small moss hearts {I used the Sizzix Originals Die Hearts #3}  from my St. Patrick's Day Decor, and it turned out fantastic.  My kids had a blast coloring a plain white one, which made me think that it would be fun to have a coloring page for the boys too!  It took some trial and error, but I finally got it to work.  {I did have to draw a small mark on my die for reference with my paper, but it does not harm the die at all!}

To use the Box, Milk Carton die in your Sizzix Big Shot layer one Standard Cutting Pad in the Big Shot machine, your die with the cutting side up, your paper and then the Standard Premium Crease Pad.

We made a whole neighborhood of leprechaun houses for our entryway, and I am sure there will be small treats in each house on St. Patrick’s Day.

If you're using the Sizzix Originals Die Hearts #3 in your Sizzix Big Shot layer one Standard Cutting Pad in the Big Shot machine, your die with the cutting side up, your material and then the other Standard Cutting Pad.

    I think this is a cute concept. I am confused about how you are using the white marks. I am a visual learner so it is probably only my deficiencies that prompt this question. I love live tutorials so I can watch something being made...then the written directions make sense to me.

      If you print the coloring page (I had to share it on my blog) there are small grey lines on it that you will line up with the marks on the die. I'm sorry for the confusion!

      Hi!
      If you hop over to my blog and print the coloring sheet, there are small light grey lines on the page...I used those lines as a guide and lined them up to match the lines I drew on the die. This way the printed parts were lined up correctly when it got sent through the sizzix :)
      I hope that helps!
