Hello there! I'm Melissa Phillips here to bring you today's Sizzix Inspiration. February is just around the corner which means love is in the air and it's time to create with your Valentine in mind. How about a quick and easy project to share with a sweet friend? This little bundle of love notes is such a fun treat to create in bulk and creates a unique twist on the traditional Valentine, don't you think?
You'll just need one die for this because it comes with everything you need to wrap up a package of post-it notes and embellish them beautifully. I used the Sizzix Bigz L Die Notepad Cover from Brenda Walton.
The hard part is selecting the color and feel for your project, but this is most definitely the funnest part too! I wanted to create a really sturdy wrap, so I ran my die through once with a piece of Mat Board as my base between a Cutting Pad and a Premium Crease Pad. I then ran it through a second time with my selected patterned paper and then just adhered the two together.
Mixing and matching different patterns for the top and bottom flaps of your notepad cover is an easy way to bring in more contrast and character.
I created a band that fits around the top flap of my notepad cover and secures it closed by just using a strip of trim that can be slipped over the top of the cover.
The sweet die cut rosette is included with the Notepad Cover die. I cut mine from book print patterned paper and added a bit of white glitter before attaching a flair button.
These tiny little projects are such a perfect way to show off your personality and style. I can't wait to make many more!

OMG Melissa, this is simply gorgeous!!!
Very cute project and who cannot use an extra book of Post-it Notes? I was wondering if you have any difficulty bending at the score lines after adhering the paper to the mat board? Any tips on getting this to work?
What a lovely gift. I love it.
