Happy Monday! Michelle here with a fun Sizzix Inspiration project using the latest Brenda Walton dies! Party planning is a passion of mine so when I saw the new Large Medallion Bigz die I knew it would be perfect for a party table centerpiece.
This fun project requires the Large Medallion Bigz die, Numbers & Frames Thinlits die set, Awards Frames with Stamps Thinlits set, Sizzix Big Shot, Premium Crease Pad, Precision Base Plate, Multipurpose Platform, Cutting Pads and Magnetic Platform. I also used the Quilted Diamonds Textured Impressions Embossing Folder by Lori Whitlock to add a little more detail to the Medallion.
First, using the Big Shot and Medallion Bigz die, create a sandwich. A sandwich is a cutting pad, Bigz die, cardstock, and the Premium Crease Pad. Pass it through the Big Shot and repeat until you have 7 pieces of the Medallion die cut. Next, using the multipurpose platform on tab 1, place a piece of the Medallion in the embossing folder and sandwich it between two cutting pads and pass it through the Big Shot. Repeat for all 7 pieces of the Medallion. Following the assembly instructions found here, assemble the Medallion.
Now moving on to the center embellishments; using the Magnetic Platform, Precision Base Plate and a cutting pad, create a sandwich. For Thinlits, a sandwich consists of the magnetic platform, precision base plate, paper, Thinlits and a cutting pad. Thinlits used were the pennant from the Awards with Stamps Thinlits Set as well as the large frame, small frame and number 5 from the Numbers and Frames Thinlits set.
Layer and adhere the die cuts to the center of the Medallion. Glue a wooden dowel to the back and you have a fun centerpiece pick for any birthday party or celebration!
Thank you for visiting and Happy Crafting!
