Hi there! It's Laura here with some Sizzix Inspiration for you. I love anything nautical, so when I saw the new Kites and Sail Boat Triplits die set, I knew that the sailboats would be perfect treat toppers for a nautical party.
These cute treat bags were a cinch to make, and came together very quickly. First, I made a Sizzix sandwich with the Magnetic Platform on the bottom, a Cutting Pad on top of that, my card stock, the Sail Boat dies, then the other Cutting Pad. I rolled it all through my Big Shot, and then had the shapes that I needed to make some cute sail boats.
All of the pieces in this set are fun because you can mix and match lots of different sizes and patterns to create the sail boats and kites.
I cut some 3" x 4" rectangular pieces out of my favorite paper stack ever, called Hey Sailor!, by DCWV. I folded each rectangle in half, so that each piece was 3" wide.
Then I played with my sailboat pieces and glued them onto my treat toppers, as well as a few of the cute "Have a happy day" phrase that also came in the set.
I filled some small 3" wide treat bags with lemon drops, leaving the top few inches of the bags empty, and then stapled my folded paper toppers to the top.
From just a few simple supplies, I made some adorable nautical party favors, perfect for an ocean or nautical party!
I am currently planning an event for the girls at my church with a nautical theme, and can't wait to share these with them!
Other Supplies Used:
