Hi everyone, Mou here with a couple of super quick Holiday card ideas for today's Sizzix Inspiration. Have you seen the cool Holiday card front dies by Rachel Bright? They make card making during a busy season so easy! Let me share with you the cards I made with the Winter and Peace, Love & Joy Card Front dies.
Let's start with the Peace, Love & Joy card.
Trim card stocks to 5.5" x 11" and fold in half to make a 5.5" x 5.5" square cards. Trim green festive patterned paper to 5.5" x 5.5" and red patterned paper to 5" x 3".
Lay standard Standard Cutting Pad on top of Magnetic Platform for wafer thin dies. Arrange the Peace Love & Joy Card Front Thinlits dies blade side up on the Cutting Pad. Lay the green paper face down on the Peace, Love & Joy die and the red paper, also face down, on the alphabet dies. Place the other Standard Cutting Pad on the very top and pass the whole sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot machine.
Apply adhesive to the back of the die cut pieces. Attach the Peace, Love & Joy block to the card and layer the die cut alphabets over the word Joy on the card. And there you have it. A super quick handmade card! You can get completely different looks with different patterned papers and colored card stock for an infinite number of possibilities.
Next, is the Believe card.
Trim several green festive patterned papers down to 5.5" x 5.5". Also, trim some small strips of red patterned paper.
Lay Standard Cutting Pad on top of Magnetic Platform for wafer thin dies. Arrange the Thinlits dies blade side up on the cutting pad. Lay one of the green papers face down on the trees die and the red paper, also face down, on the believe die. Place the other Standard Cutting Pad on the very top and pass the whole sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot machine. Repeat with all the green patterned papers. You will now have several frames and cutouts of trees in various patterns.
Attach one tree block on the card. Fit in the tree pieces from the several cutouts. Before you realize, you'll have made four to five cards. Attach the sentiment believe to a coordinating piece of paper and cut it into a banner. Attach the sentiment to the card with foam tape.
The Winter set also comes with snowflakes and the word winter. You can get a completely different set of cards by simply changing the color scheme to blue.
Here's a close up of my cards.
Hope you find my post inspiring and get a head start on handmade holiday cards with these fabulous dies.
