Here are the steps to create these little gifts.
Lay a Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform and the Recipe Box die blade side up. Lay a piece of kraft cardstock on the die and another Cutting Pad on top and run the sandwich through the Big Shot machine. The Magnetic Platform holds the die in place for a precise cut. Cut the top decorative flap and recipe cards using the same sandwich as mentioned above. Repeat as many times as you need to make the recipe card set.
For a fun mixed media look, color the outer surfaces of the kraft cardstock die cuts with metallic gold acrylic paint. Let dry. You could also start with metallic or glittered cardstock for a festive look.
With blending tool apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the recipe cards to accentuate the lines for writing.
Cut out birds on branches from the patterned paper with scissors. Color the cut outs with Distress Markers.
Tie the tea cup and spoon accessories to tea bags.
Attach the decorative flap to the Recipe Box and embellish by attaching a bird on branch cut out. Attach a piece of lace near the bottom of the box. Fill the Recipe Box with the recipe cards.
Attach the other bird on branch cut out to the tea bag holder.
On a strip of cardstock, write a sentiment and insert partly into the fortune cookie.
Here's a closer look at each set.
