Hey there crafty pals! Gen here again for Sizzix Inspiration. I made something that's within my comfort zone (although I find scrapbooking for boys isn't always that easy) and that's making scrapbook layouts about the two loves of my life, my boys. I am alright with using flowers with boy layouts once in awhile but mostly, I don't. That's because there are plenty of Sizzix dies I can actually use. Cute fun dies. And that's what I'll be sharing with you today.
The focal point of the layout is this envelope filled with bits and pieces collected from the travel, which is the theme for this layout. To cut the envelope, the sandwich should be (from bottom to top): Sizzix standard Cutting Pad + Movers & Shapers Envelope die + paper + the Premium Crease Pad, Standard. Roll the sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot Machine and you will have a nicely cut envelope. Washi tapes and stickers may be added to decorate it.
What is a travel layout without an airplane and clouds? These are movers and shapers and to cut this, you will need this sandwich: (from bottom to top): Sizzix standard Cutting Pad + movers and shapers Base Tray with Mini Airplane & Cloud in it + paper + Cutting Pad. For added detail, you may machine stitch the clouds to the page.
Lastly, a layout needs a title. I made mine the title and a journaling at the same time. It says "When I have a brother, I will always have a friend". Quite long but thanks to Sizzix Thinlits Alphanumeric it was really easy and fun to do this. Especially with the Magnetic Platform. Here's the sandwich for this: Sizzix Magnetic Platform + Sizzix standard Cutting Pad +paper + Alphanumeric in your desired phrase/letters facing down + Cutting Pad.
What do you think? Do you find scrapbooking for boys easy? Or girls layouts are easier? Please share your thoughts :)
Till next time! Gen :)
