Hi, it's Leica here for a little Sizzix Inspiration.
Are you figuring out what green stuff you are going to wear on St. Patty's Day? Hope so, you wouldn't want to get pinched! :))
My daughter & I are always playing dress-up, so it turned out to be perfect! While the boys went fishing, we dressed up in green wigs and took selfies!
This two page layout was fun to make. It was the first time I used the Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Pleated Ruffle, 3-D die.
This is what it looks like closeup after it has been put down.
Sizzix makes many different types of doilie dies. They are really intricate, I recommend cutting them out with wax paper as to not rip the patterned paper. Here is a fun die to use for this layout Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 4PK - Note to Self.
I also was trying out the Fan Blade, 30° Bigz L die. It makes for a neat background. For these cute little doilies I used Note to Self Sizzix Thinlits dies. If you use Thinlits in the Sizzix Big Shot. you'll want to use the Magnetic Platform. Layer one Standard Cutting Pad, your material, the die with the cutting side down and your other cutting pad. For the Fan Blade you will only need to sandwich your die and material between a pair of Standard Cutting Pads.
I LOVE banners! So of course I find any excuse to break out Sizzix Bigz Die Banners.
The Banners die made for an easy way to bring in more colour to this side of the page. Of course for the so lucky title I used my fave alphabet, Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die Word Play.In the Big Shot Machine, cut Banners between a pair of Standard Cutting Pads and WordPlay between a pair of Extended Cutting Pads.
Thanks for looking!
