Howdy everyone! Genevive here at your service! Have you made your Christmas cards yet? If not, then make it now! haha. Here's a super fun card I made using Stephanie Barnard's Basic Step-Ups Sizzix Framelits Die Set. The design of this die set is not actually Christmas-y but by using red, green and white, it looks a lot like Christmas! :)
What I did was to cut all the shapes I needed with my Big Shot Machine and accessories. With small dies like the Framelits, I love to use the Magnetic Platform because it keeps all the little pieces in place. No more taping each of the shape. No more removing all the tapes from each shape! haha! It's so convenient and easy. So my sandwich consists of (from bottom to top): Magnetic Platform, Cutting Pad, Framelits dies, paper, Cutting Pad.
After cutting the shape, I folded and creased the scored lines to create a pop-up card. Next, I used a background stamp and a green distress ink to create a subtle green background on to the small rectangle die cuts and adhered these to the card.
It was quite fun to attach the flowers using toothpicks. What a fun card this is! I can make this again again using variety of details.. may it be our family photos, little paper dolls, banners and many more!
See you next time! Happy Cardmaking!
