Sizzix Inspiration | Travel Case by Hilary Kanwischer

Hey everyone, it's Hilary here today with some fun travel inspiration by way of a Travel Case, or Suitcase.  I used the new Train Case, Box Scoreboards XL die by Eileen Hull to create a fun way of storing your photos and memorabilia from your family vacations.  So cute and fun and practical.  I love this die.  I also think this would make the sweetest of recipe card holders.

To create this travel case, you will need your Sizzix Big Shot, white Mat Board, extended cutting pads and of course the Train Case, Box Scoreboards XL die by Eileen Hull.  To begin, using the Mat Board, you will need to run the die through the Big Shot twice to end up with the recommended number of pieces to assemble, (2 tops, 2 sides, etc).

Your die cutting sandwich is as follows:  Lay an Extended Cutting Pad down onto your Sizzix Big Shot, followed by the Train Case, Box die, (cutting blades facing up), then place your Mat Board, down onto the die, and finally lay another Extended Cutting Pad on top. Run this sandwich through your Big Shot.  The die comes with a full diagram on assembling and it really couldn't be easier. It's a fun quick project and a unique way of storing your vacation memories.

I love the addition of the "hardware" that accompanies the die.  The handles, front opener and back hinges are too sweet.  I used a black glitter cardstock to give it a little shine and secured them using brads. The die cuts out the holes for your brads so they are super easy to secure.

Decorating the front of your case with lot's of fun travel stickers and embellishments truly make it look like an old vintage case, that's been around the world.

Tying the ribbons on the side add texture, and a fun "strappy" look to the case.  Such a fun, project to create, and I hope it inspires you to create a fun travel case of your own.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
