Hey everyone! Melissa here for today’s Sizzix Inspiration post. Have you guys seen the new Rachel Bright Life Made Simple Sizzix dies yet? When I first saw the Sweet Treat Bag die, I knew I had to make a fun treat favor for Valentine's Day! Pop in a little cash & treat (I used a lemonade packet!) for a low-cost gift for your favorite people.
For this project, I used a few dies from the Sizzix Thinlits Rachel Bright Treat Bag set for the main container & chevron overlay, a frame from the Frames, Hearts, and Tab Thinlits set for the dollar bill frame, and the the chevron arrow from the Decorative Frames Sizzix Thinlits set to create the name tag.
To create the shapes, I created a sandwich of the Magnetic Platform, a Standard Cutting Pad, the Thinlits Die, wax paper, colored construction paper, and then another cutting pad on top. Because of the intricacy of Thinlits, placing wax paper between the Thinlits Die and your material will help them remove easier. I repeated the same steps with each of the remaining four pieces. (The four pieces will be: Main Treat Bag, Chevron Overlay, Dollar Bill Frame, and Chevron Arrow Name Tag.)
I then taped all the pieces together, glued on a bow, and popped in the money, lemonade packet, and straw.
Doesn't get much easier than that! You can switch out the colors for any occasion and add in as much money as you'd like. I don't know about you, but a glittery package beats a boring white money envelope any day!
