Hey friends! Adrianne here with you for today's Sizzix Inspiration, to show you two easy and beautiful ways to share some of your winter baked goodies. I know when it's cold outside, I spend more time in the kitchen - do you? You can turn those sweet treats into sweet gifts with these great new dies!
With some Mat Board and a paper you love, you can even make up the packaging while your goodies are in the oven!
The Sizzix Scoreboards XL Die Cookie Box by Eileen Hull is perfect for a cookie or two, or it also makes a great box for small gifts like jewelry, or a little box of pampering. Just die-cut it from both Mat Board and your favorite paper, and assemble it with glue and ribbon. Do that by adhering your selected material to the mat board. To die cut, sandwich the Mat Board (with adhered paper of choice) between a pair of Extended Cutting Pads and put it through the Sizzix Big Shot machine.
When it comes to giving bread, let me share a tip: wrap it in freezer paper, and not just foil or plastic wrap! A bit of freezer paper and washi tape makes it look like a gift. Stampers can even stamp a message or a pattern on one side before wrapping it up! Freezer paper is waxy on one side, and paper on the other, so it will keep your bread fresh, but show it off with paper.
Tie a bit of bakers twine around it, and use the Framelits Kitchen Labels with the new Scoreboards Loaf Pan. Your gift was baked with love, after all - so let your recipient know how special they are before they even taste it! When you make up the loaf pan with mat board and a few scrapbooking brads, you will have a surprisingly sturdy container for a tiny loaf, or a couple of muffins. It's also a great size to put on a shelf or in your craft room to help you stay organized. When using Framelits, make a sandwich with the Framelits and your material between a pair of Standard Cutting Pads, put it on top of the Magnetic Platform and roll it through your Sizzix Big Shot Machine.
What have you been baking and making lately?
Until next time ~ Adrianne
