Hello, Sizzix friends! Vivian here today to share with you an Aspiration Box and Card Gift Set that you could craft for that individual in your life, a young person, perhaps, or an adult, whose future is rich with potential. In this box, your loved one can place notes to him or herself that name goals big and small, aspirations and steps to take in order to achieve them. Sometimes writing things down helps give us clarity, don't you think? Documenting ideas, even with a little scribble, is so helpful when our memories prove fickle, and when circumstances sometimes cloud our view of the future. For this project, I wanted to create a really luxurious feeling, so in conjunction with wonderful Sizzix dies and embossing folders from Eileen Hull's brand new release Vintage Kitchen and some easy mixed media techniques, I was able to create what I was looking for.
I hope you'll grab a cuppa and take a minute out of your day to enjoy my video tutorial!
Before I sign off, I'd like to share with you some closeups of the cool effects that resulted from using this fantastic Sunburst Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing folder by Eileen Hull!
Subtle shifts in coloration paired with stunning sunburst patterns.
The patterns shift slightly when you use a light hand with your media. More details in the video. I love the veining that happened in the shot above.
Coating everything with a glossy sealant kicked the sense of luxury up a notch, as well as the addition of self-adhesive gems.
The Aspiration Box is very sturdy fashioned from our Little Sizzles Mat Board, and its shape, totally versatile. I'm looking forward to crafting with this Canister Sizzix Bigz XL die for years to come.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope I was able to inspire your craft!
