Sizzix Tutorial | Die Cut Stencil Tags by Vivian Keh

Hello, Sizzix friends!  Vivian Keh here today with a video Sizzix Tutorial sharing how beautiful Sizzix die-cuts can function as stencils.  For my project, I crafted a mixed media tag featuring a selection of love-themed Sizzix die-cuts.  I am completely gaga over this new Tag Sizzix Bigz L die from Stephanie Ackerman! Its larger size makes for a substantial tag! And talk about versatile! It can be used to die-cut pages in a mini album.  Since its a Bigz L die, you could also die-cut a chunky a mini album cover with it.  It could work as a great mat/layer on a layout, nicely grounding a photo in your composition.  And, because of its basic shape, I think it will become one of those "essential" dies, whatever your crafting style.  When I first saw it, I will confess to you, I think I actually started clapping!

Believe it or not, this tag was actually inspired by a TV show I just discovered!  More on that in the video.

Here are some closeups of the shapes and patterns created by using my Sizzix die-cuts as stencils.

Gently inking creates soft impressions.  Where you want to highlight a beautiful style line from your die-cut stencil, you can apply ink more assertively!

Your attention to detail by giving us information, pointing out different things as you film, zooming in and giving us a close up look at what you want us to see are all very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to bring us into your projects and not use see what you are doing. You inspire by your creative being. TFS
