Hey there everyone! Genevive here for another Sizzix Tutorial :)
How nice would it be when you get to pick one sweet happy note as you enter into the door or a room? Or it could be the other way around. Instead of taking, you can write something and leave a note for someone in that home or house? I remember doing this when I was in college when cellular phones were not that common and my friends would come to my house and leave messages at the door when they won't find me there. I still have those notes now :)
What I did first was to glue a piece of patterned paper on to a chipboard (that looks like a shadow in the photo but it's actually a chipboard) I wanted the heart pocket to be thick and sturdy so it can hold lots of sweet notes :)
This is my Sizzix sandwich from bottom to top for this Bigz XL die is: Extended Cutting Pad + heart pocket die + chipboard and paper + Extended Crease Pad. I had to just roll it through the Big Shot and you will see how nice and clean the cut is!
These were the shapes I cut at one go.
I adhered the pocket to the heart with a good liquid glue.
Then using my crop-a-dile, I punched the hole and added eyelets for my string.
The white string becomes the handle and a dainty embellishment at the same time.
This is how the heart pocket looks like if filled with sweet notes :)
And this is it, at our door! :) Hope you like my little project!
